Futuroscope

Futuroscope is Budapest Metropolitan University’s Media Design diploma exhibition, transformed into a virtual experience when the pandemic made a physical show impossible. What began in 2020 as an alternative to the gallery became an evolving digital format of its own: between 2020 and 2025, a new virtual exhibition environment was created each year for the graduating students and their works.

Glitchray designed and built these 3D spaces as both exhibition architecture and interactive interface. Rather than presenting the projects as a conventional online archive, each edition invited visitors to move through a distinct digital environment, discover works through navigation, scale and spatial relationships, and experience the exhibition as a place rather than a page. Over six years, Futuroscope became an ongoing experiment in how virtual space can shape the way creative work is encountered, connected and remembered.
