Hangmen

Hangmen is Martin McDonagh’s pitch-black comedy about death, guilt and the strange vacuum left behind when a man’s entire identity becomes obsolete. Directed by Rémusz Szikszai at the Jászai Mari Theatre, the production traps its characters inside a claustrophobic pub while the world outside keeps moving without them.

Glitchray designed the video language as a second layer of reality around that closed interior. Passing cars, shifting weather, changing light and fragmented exterior views push the stage beyond its physical walls, letting the outside world leak in through projection. The visuals never compete with the actors; they quietly stretch space, time and atmosphere, turning the static room into something unstable, cinematic and slightly haunted.
